Hillsborough County Down Payment assistance

Just sold this beautiful Riverview home.

This home boast 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and almost 3000 sq ft., 2 car garage and a fenced in yard. The buyer was overwhelmed at the closing, she received $40,000 in county down payment assistance money. With the down payment assistance or DPA for short, her out of pocket expenses were minimal. Many buyers believe that the down payment assistance is a myth but I'm here to tell you it exist. In the last few years I've assisted many, many buyers utilizing down payment assistance. It does take some leg work from the prospective buyer but it can be done.

First and for most, the prospective buyer has to attend the first time home buyer class. Once the class is completed, the buyer will receive a certificate which allows them to participate in the program and receive funds if they are available. Florida Homestead

Every person who owns and resides on real property in Florida on January 1 and makes the property their permanent residence is eligible to receive a homestead exemption up to $50,000. The first $25,000 applies to all property taxes, including school district taxes. The additional exemption up to $25,000, applies to the assessed value between $50,000 and $75,000 and only to non-school taxes.
If you are a first time home owner, below are a few questions you may need to answer:

1) In whose name was the title to the recorded as of January 1?
2) What is the property address?
3) How long have you been a legal resident of the State of Florida?
4) Do you have a Florida license plate on your car and a Florida driver's license?
5) Were you living in the home on January 1.
